To Mark; The majority of the artists on this site do are important figures for the contemporary African Art scene. Kivuthi, Cartoon, Ssendagire, Kashimiri and the best TingaTinga painters are featured in a large variety of top class Western art books on the subject and their artworks are in private and official collections all over the world. Their fame is not the same as that of Michael Jackson ofcourse but they are world famous within their field. George Lilanga is not the only East African famous artist as such. Please inform yourself indeep before dumping unfounded criticism. Enjoy the top of the East African Contemporary Art on this site.

Why do you say in your presentatio that the artists in your website are"world famous"when only George Lilanga belongs to the category of world famous? It is better to be more modest and more credible

Hi Pascal & Anita,
We defend your apology: leave the words to the ( frustrated) critics. There's only the eye and the beholder.
